PLACE

More than a property, Reggiardo Ranch is an intentional reflection of its surroundings. Located just above breathtaking Highway 1 in the wine country of the Santa Cruz Mountains, the ranch sits among endless forested acres just 2.9 miles from the West Coast’s majestic northern beaches. It offers the best of both worlds: the beauty of California’s forests and coastline.

With some of California’s most stunning landscapes and a deep reverence for pristine nature, Santa Cruz remains one of the state’s best-kept secrets for settings that still feel wild.

The ranch offers eighty private acres for exclusive use on event day, with a remarkable range of natural settings. Guests can move from mystical redwood groves—John Muir’s “Big Trees”—to grassy meadows with live oaks, a year-round spring-fed stream with waterfalls and natural pools deep enough for cold plunges, and forests of Ponderosa pines.

In addition to hosting private events, Reggiardo Ranch creates experiences of its own. Steve Fortunato—hospitality veteran, best-selling author, and ranch founder—offers his “The Host MindsetTM, framework for guests who choose to add it to their experience. Whether as a keynote within your day’s itinerary or a full-day workshop, this content helps teams understand the power of hosting, harness the virtuous cycle of generosity, and return ready to share what they have received. Contact us to discuss how Host Mindset programming can enrich your ranch experience.

Gatherings and retreats centered on well-being and positive impact are among our favorite experiences to create. From eco-therapy in the forest and nature-based meals to retreats for men and women, we invite you to join one of our upcoming gatherings. For a calendar of future events, click here.

PLATE

A truly memorable event engages all five senses—and food and beverage are essential to that experience. Whether it’s a multi-course tasting menu with paired wines, a farm-to-table lunch beneath the trees, or a breakfast buffet before a team meeting, Michelin-level cuisine is a central part of Reggiardo Ranch’s offerings.

Executive Chef Alejandro Guzman brings experience from the highest levels of the Los Angeles dining scene, including Michelin-starred Le Comptoir and Room Forty catering. After leaving Los Angeles for the ranch, he describes his work here as “cooking with love, instead of fear.” Chef Guzman draws on the bounty of Santa Cruz—produce grown just three miles away, fish caught locally in Monterey Bay, mushrooms foraged on the property, and a style of cooking that blends simplicity with artistry.

The culinary experience is complemented by signature craft cocktails made with house-made ingredients, thoughtfully paired wines, small-batch coffee and teas, and non-alcoholic drinks that are genuinely inspiring.

Long after the flavors are forgotten, guests remember how the service made them feel. At Reggiardo Ranch, the experience begins and ends with service. In a world increasingly shaped by self-checkout, automation, and efficiency above all else, gracious professional hosting has become a rare art. As a master host, hospitality veteran, author, and ranch founder, Steve Fortunato has created an approach to service designed to be unforgettable.
