Get Out of the Conference Room.

There is no standard Reggiardo Ranch corporate retreat. That is rather the point. Working with the hospitality and event team at roomforty, we can build the day, or several days, around your people, objectives and desired experience. Your gathering might include:

  • Executive strategy sessions
  • Quarterly or annual business reviews
  • Leadership team retreats
  • Sales leadership meetings
  • Strategic planning sessions
  • Board and advisory meetings
  • Team-building retreats
  • Executive dinners
  • Client or partner gatherings
  • Leadership workshops
  • Facilitated conversations
  • Celebrations and milestone events
  • Multi-day retreats combining work, hospitality and recreation

Some groups need privacy and uninterrupted working time. Others need help breaking down barriers between people. Some need an extraordinary dinner after an intensive day of strategic work.

And some need all three.

Moving the same meeting from an office conference room to a prettier conference room isn’t necessarily a retreat. We think the environment should change the meeting itself. At Reggiardo Ranch, nature, hospitality, movement, food and gathering spaces can become part of the rhythm of the day.

A long strategic session can be interrupted by a walk outside.

A difficult morning conversation can give way to a beautiful lunch.

A leadership dinner can be intentionally designed to help colleagues learn something about one another that might never emerge across a boardroom table.

The next morning doesn’t necessarily have to begin with laptops open. It might begin around a fire. And then you get to work. The purpose isn’t to avoid the business at hand.

It is to create conditions that may help people approach it differently.

Most business meetings ask people to operate in one mode.

Agenda. Presentation. Discussion. Decision. Next slide. Repeat.

There is nothing inherently wrong with that. But when the stakes are high, it can be useful to create space for another kind of interaction.

Steve Fortunato and the roomforty team think deeply about the transitions between the formal parts of a retreat.

Those details might appear secondary to the agenda.

At Reggiardo Ranch, we don’t necessarily think they are.

Beforehand, Steve had asked participants questions about dietary preferences—but tucked among the practical questions were a few unexpected ones.

One asked about a favourite childhood memory involving a special-occasion meal.

That information became part of the evening.

The intention wasn’t forced vulnerability or manufactured team building.

The conversations became remarkably personal.

People shared stories about childhood, family and the lives they were trying to build outside of work.

The evening changed the dynamic.

And the following morning, it was time to work.

The team arrived prepared for business.

Laptops. Briefcases. Quarterly-review mindset engaged.

Except their morning didn’t begin in the meeting room.

Steve met them at the gate.

The roomforty team took their bags and laptops ahead while the executives gathered around a campfire beneath a tree.

Then they went for a walk.

For approximately twenty minutes, the team simply moved through the property together before arriving at the barn.

Only then did the formal day begin.

Waiting for them was breakfast—but not the standard chafing-dish experience familiar to anyone who spends enough time at corporate events.

The roomforty team approached breakfast with the same thoughtfulness it brings to dinner.

Then the team went into its meetings.

When it was time to break, the experience changed again.

This was still a working day. Nobody wanted a three-hour lunch.

But efficiency didn’t have to mean forgettable.

Rather than placing a generic buffet outside the meeting room, the team was offered a coursed lunch with choices of first courses and entrées.

Then everyone returned to work.

The team ultimately left feeling that they had achieved a level of strategic clarity and collaboration that made the gathering meaningful.

The work was still the work.

Reggiardo Ranch is particularly well suited to gatherings where conversation, connection, privacy and focus matter.

That can include executive leadership retreats, strategy sessions, quarterly business reviews, sales meetings, planning sessions, workshops, team off-sites, board gatherings, client events, milestone celebrations and private corporate dinners.

Rather than beginning with a predefined event package, we prefer to understand what your organization is trying to accomplish and build from there.

Neither description completely captures it.

Reggiardo Ranch provides the setting.

roomforty provides the hospitality and event expertise.

Together, that allows us to think about your gathering as an experience rather than simply a room rental.

Absolutely.

In fact, that is one of the most compelling reasons to consider the ranch.

The objective isn’t to replace strategic work with recreation. It’s to create an environment capable of supporting both concentrated business sessions and deliberate moments of restoration, conversation and connection.

Your team can spend hours working through forecasts, strategy, planning or organizational challenges.

But when it is time to break, you are at Reggiardo Ranch.

Not in a hallway outside Ballroom C.

That distinction creates possibilities.

Yes.

We encourage you to involve us early.

Tell us:

Who is coming?

Why are they gathering?

What needs to be different when they leave?

From there, we can begin thinking about the arc of the experience.

When should people work?

When should they eat?

When should they move?

Where could a change of environment help?

Should dinner simply be spectacular—or could it also help start a conversation?

Could the following morning begin differently?

The goal is not to pack the itinerary.

It is to design the right rhythm.

This is where having roomforty as your hospitality partner makes an enormous difference.

Food doesn’t have to be treated as event fuel.

Breakfast can be memorable.

Lunch can be elegant without consuming the afternoon.

Dinner can become one of the defining experiences of the retreat.

Menus can be thoughtfully designed around the group, the schedule and the occasion, from efficient working meals to elaborate multi-course dinners.

And because food naturally brings people together, we can also think about how the dining experience contributes to the broader purpose of your gathering.

The experience can be tailored to the requirements of your group.

One of the lessons from the leadership retreat described above was how meaningful even small expressions of choice and personal attention can feel.

For a group of approximately ten executives, for example, roomforty was able to offer individually selected entrées during a coursed working lunch rather than requiring everyone to receive the same meal.

Those details communicate something important:

You are not simply attending another corporate meeting. You are our guest.

Dietary needs can be gathered in advance as part of the planning process so that the culinary team can design an experience appropriate for your group.

But we may ask you a few more interesting questions, too.

Because understanding the people around the table can help us create an experience that feels personal rather than procedural.

Whatever makes sense for your group.

That might mean coffee outside.

A walk through the property.

A meal.

A conversation beneath a tree.

Time alone.

A facilitated activity.

Or simply enough room to get away from a screen before returning to the work.

We don’t believe every minute needs programming.

Sometimes changing where people are is enough to change how they return.

Yes—but our interpretation of team building can extend beyond traditional exercises.

Sometimes connection comes from an activity.

Sometimes it comes from preparing or sharing food.

Sometimes it comes from being outside.

And sometimes it comes from asking a better question over dinner.

We can discuss what type of interaction makes sense for your people rather than prescribing activities simply because they’re expected at a corporate retreat.

Very much so.

Privacy, hospitality and the ability to move between focused work and less formal interaction can make the ranch particularly compelling for executive teams.

The experience can be polished and sophisticated without feeling like another luxury hotel meeting.

That juxtaposition is intentional.

Elevated hospitality. A working ranch. Serious conversation. Space to think.

Yes.

A quarterly business review is actually an excellent example of a meeting that can benefit from a different environment.

If your leadership team gathers several times each year, familiarity can become efficiency—but it can also become routine.

Changing the environment creates an opportunity to change the pattern.

Review the numbers.

Discuss performance.

Confront the challenges.

Establish the next quarter’s priorities.

But surround that work with an experience capable of helping people reconnect with one another before they return to running their respective organizations.

Yes.

Not every corporate gathering needs to be an off-site.

Reggiardo Ranch and roomforty can also create private dinners and hospitality experiences designed around clients, leadership teams, partners or other important groups.

A dinner can stand alone.

Or it can become the opening chapter of the following day’s work.

Potentially, yes.

The broader experience can incorporate accommodations, transportation, meals and programming depending on the requirements of the gathering.

For one leadership retreat, hotel arrangements and transportation were coordinated so participants could arrive, experience the ranch and move through the agenda without having to manage the logistics themselves.

Talk to us about what you are imagining and we can determine what is possible.

Transportation and arrival logistics can be incorporated into the broader planning conversation.

We want to consider the experience from the participant’s perspective—not simply from the moment they walk into the meeting space.

How people arrive matters.

So does how they leave.

Depending on the objectives of the retreat, facilitated conversations and intentionally designed prompts can become part of the experience.

Steve Fortunato’s approach to hospitality is rooted in the belief that gathering people well can create conditions for more meaningful interaction.

That does not mean turning your executive retreat into group therapy.

It means recognizing that trust, curiosity and human connection can influence how people communicate when it is time to tackle the difficult business questions.

That depends on your agenda, your group and the conditions.

Nature doesn’t need to become another scheduled activity.

Sometimes its role is simply to surround the work.

A walk before a strategy session.

Coffee beneath a tree.

A conversation outside between meetings.

A moment away from the laptop.

The ranch gives us the flexibility to use the environment when it adds something to the experience.

The right group size will depend on the type of gathering and the spaces being used.

More important than simply maximizing capacity is determining whether Reggiardo Ranch is the right environment for what you’re trying to accomplish.

Tell us about your group and we can help determine the best approach.

It can be both.

That’s one of the things we love about it.

A beautifully executed multi-course dinner can happen at the same retreat as campfire coffee.

A sophisticated executive meeting can be followed by a walk through the ranch.

An elegant lunch can be served in the middle of an intense working day.

We don’t see those as contradictions.

We think the contrast is part of what makes the experience memorable.

The success of a retreat isn’t measured by how beautiful the venue looked in photographs.

It is what happens afterward.

That is the opportunity we see at Reggiardo Ranch. Not an escape from the important work. A better place to do it.

Tell Us Why You’re Gathering.

Tell Us Why You’re Gathering.

Give us the business objective, the people who need to be in the room and what you hope will be different when they leave.

Bring your next leadership retreat, strategy session or corporate off-site to Reggiardo Ranch.
